Most people living on less than a dollar a day are farmers. In East Africa, most rice is rain-fed, harvested once a year, and yields below what the land can give. We exist to change that — one field, one family, one harvest cycle at a time.
Across Tanzania and the wider region, rice farming runs on rainfall. One wet season means one harvest, and one harvest means income that has to stretch across twelve months of a family's needs. When the rain is late or short, the harvest — and the year — suffers with it.
The technology that could break this cycle — irrigation, drones, mechanization — already exists. It has simply been priced out of reach for the farmers who need it most.
We make farmers bankable. Guaranteed offtake — Dronlytics Technologies buys all their paddy rice and raw soybean — and an agreed minimum-payout guarantee turn a once-a-year farm into a predictable business. The farmer buys and owns the patented irrigation system, and banks provide short-term input financing directly to Dronlytics Technologies on the farmer’s behalf. The farmer gains the capability and keeps the upside.
The result is a field that works all year: up to three cropping cycles with full mechanization, higher yields, far less water, and a soybean rotation that protects the soil for the next generation.
